It seems weird to me that the thing the researchers find interesting about their study is that the monkeys exhibit loss aversion, and not that they were able to teach monkeys to engage in commerce. Have we been able to do this for some time? Are we facing a planet of the apes situation? I'd also be interested to see if the monkeys can beat most mutual fund managers at picking stocks. My guess is they can.
